Green Loop Project
This years project ACE project 2022 was focused on the City of Portland concept of the Green Loop. This 6 mile path with connect all the communites of portland; through a walking/biking path. Our goal as ACE students was to give people walking on the green loop places to stop. In group with 5 students and 3 mentors we created a space on the green loop that will allow community memebers to relax, learn and play.

Site Layout
Our site we picked was on the east side of portland. Located right in the center of the lloyd district. We wanted to have a layout so that our site was catered to not only the people on the green loop but the lloyd community as well. So we had the bathrooms in the middle with the more active scenery on the sides,

History of the Site
We wanted to make ure to tie our site into the history of lloyd district and add a little bit of cultural history. I think that its important to add new things and new buildings but also the east side of portland has a lot of history so adding just a little bit of history on the site is great for learning and for the new residents who might not know about portland history.

Design Inspiration
These are images that inspired me. I was really interested in this art piece at the miami airport that is rainbow because that is actually LED lights. I was very interested in playing with space and lighting and different colors.

Basketball Court Inspo
This is the basketball court inspiration. I collaborated creatively with a teammate on this. So it was fun to work together because we were very similar on wanted!

Final Basketball Court
Ultimately, this was the final rendering. Our vision for this basketball court was to have two because of the population that could possible be moving into lloyd disrict.

I also collaborated with another teammate on this outdoor stage. Our vision for this was to have cultural dances and historical musicals on this stage. We were also interested in adding lighting system and a cover because it rains a lot in oregon.
This was the final outdoor stage made sure to add a cover because of the rain. Wanted to have the stage in circles trickle out into the audience because wanted their to be a connection between actor and audience.
